Message from Principal Takata

Dressing for the Weather: Be Prepared! 🧤🧣🌦️

As the seasons change, we want to remind families to dress students in weather-appropriate clothing. Our Eagles enjoy outdoor recess every day, rain or shine, unless conditions are extremely harsh. Please make sure your child comes to school prepared with:

  • Warm layers (jackets, hats, gloves)
  • Water-resistant shoes or boots for wet days
  • A change of clothes if your child loves to play outside—mud happens!

If your family needs assistance with clothing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office. We’re here to help!

Thank you for keeping our Eagles cozy, dry, and ready for fun!

Highlights from our MLK Assembly

Our recent assembly to honor the work of Dr. King was a splendid tribute. It was wonderful to welcome Bremerton School District students into Kitsap Lake to sing and celebrate with us. We enjoyed honoring the work of Dr. King through songs and spoken word.

During one of the songs, our KLE students were invited to sing along.

5th Grade Parent Night at Mountain View Middle School

As you are aware, the winter weather caused the 5th Grade Parent Night at MVMS to be rescheduled to the week our KLE 5th graders will be having a fantastic time at Islandwood. Mr. Wisner, principal at Mountain View, has been gracious enough to offer us another opportunity for this event.

5th Grade Parent Night will now be held on February 20 from 6pm-7pm at Mountain View Middle School. This will be a night for Kitsap Lake families and any others who could not attend the original event to learn the important information about the transition to middle school.
