A Heartfelt Farewell and Looking Forward! - From Mrs. Takata

Dear KLE Families,

As the final school bell of the year is just around the corner, it's with a mix of emotions that I write this last newsletter. What an incredible journey we've shared together this year at KLE!

First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering partnership. Your support, involvement, and collaboration have been invaluable in creating a thriving and nurturing learning environment for our students. Thank you for entrusting your precious children to us each day. It has been an absolute joy and privilege to share in their growth, laughter, and milestones. Their bright smiles and eagerness to learn have filled our hallways with such wonderful energy.

This year has been packed with exciting learning adventures, memorable events, and the development of strong friendships. From field trips to classroom celebrations, art projects to science experiments, we've witnessed so much growth and discovery. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our students and their accomplishments. It's also important to focus on the final days of the 2024-25 school year with the reminder of the importance of being safe, kind and respectful. We have lots of fun activites and learning still left this year!

As we prepare for a well-deserved summer break, we wish you all joyful times filled with family, friends, and fun adventures. Take this time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories.

We are already looking forward to welcoming back our returning students and meeting our new families in the fall! Information regarding the start of the new school year will be shared over the summer, so please keep an eye on your email and the school website.

Thank you again for being such a wonderful part of the KLE family. Have a safe and happy summer!

Warmly,

Mrs. Takata

Principal, Kitsap Lake

STEAM Day

Last Friday, we held our first annual STEAM Day. All students picked fun, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) activites to complete in various classrooms throughout the school. Our Eagles had a great time navigating robots on mazes, creating flashlights, making butterflies and so much more. A special thank you to Mrs. D'Angelo for organizing this fun event for our school and to all our teachers who planned exciting activities.

Highly Capable Survey

Dear Families,

A successful program reviews the services and needs of students that it serves. BSD is currently reviewing the K-12 Highly Capable Program and services to ensure that they are grounded in best practice and meeting the cognitive, social, and emotional needs of students. As a part of that review, we are collecting input from staff, students, and families. We need your help! We invite you to complete a short survey that will take less than 10 minutes of your time and provide valuable insights. [survey in Englishsurvey in Spanish] Thank you!

The window for completing the survey is 5/5/2015 to 5/15/2025. If you have questions, or would like more information, please contact Wendy Bender(wendy.bender@BremertonSchools.org) or Jen Flo (jflo@esd113.org )

Thank you for your help!
