Welcome to Our House! Get Ready for an Amazing School Year!

Welcome Back, Eagles! 🦅✨

We are so excited to kick off another amazing school year at Kitsap Lake! This year brings something brand new and fun for our students—the Ron Clark Academy House System! 🎉

Every student and staff member will be sorted into a “house,” where they’ll build friendships, cheer each other on, and celebrate accomplishments together. The houses are all about teamwork, school spirit, and lifting each other up. 🏆💙💚💛❤️

We can’t wait to see the joy, excitement, and sense of community this will bring to our school. Get ready for a year full of learning, laughter, and Eagle pride!

What is the RCA House System?

Inspired by the world-renowned Ron Clark Academy, the House System is a dynamic and engaging way to build a stronger school family. It's all about creating smaller, supportive communities within our larger school. Every student, from kindergarten through fifth grade, along with all our teachers and staff, will be sorted into one of eight unique houses. Think of it like a giant, friendly competition where everyone gets to belong!

Why a House System?

The House System brings so many wonderful benefits to our school:

  • Belonging and Community: Every student will have a strong sense of belonging to their house, fostering new friendships across grade levels.

  • Positive Behavior: Houses earn points for demonstrating our school values, excellent behavior, teamwork, and academic effort.

  • Teamwork and Leadership: Students will learn to collaborate with their housemates and develop leadership skills as they work towards common goals.

  • Celebrating Success: We'll have regular house meetings, celebrations, and exciting challenges throughout the year, giving us lots of opportunities to recognize and reward positive contributions.

  • School Spirit: Get ready for an explosion of school spirit and friendly competition as houses vie for the coveted House Cup!

Meet Our 8 Houses!

We are so excited to reveal our eight incredible houses! These houses will be consistent across other Bremerton School District schools who are also participating in the house sytem. Each house has its own unique color, mascot, and special characteristics. Students will be sorted into their houses during the first month of the school year – it's going to be a time to remember! Which house will choose them??

  • Here are our eight houses:

    • Revere-House of Dreamers (Blue - Wolf): House members are filled with freedom and wild abandon. They will let nothing stand in the way of achieveing their dreams.

    • Nukumori-House of Kindness (Purple - Dragon): House members understand kindness is a true strength and are known for treating others with respect. They extend friendship to everyone around them.

    • Sollevare-House of Uplifting (Yellow - Phoenix): House members are known for their uplifting energy. They always rise above and help others do the same.

    • Altruismo-House of Givers (Black - Snake): House members are known for striking a balance between bold strength and altruistic giving. They are known for maintaining a fiercely competitive spirit and strong sense of pride.

    • Isibindi-House of Courage (Green - Lion): House members are known for displaying characteristics of strength and bravery in times of shyness. They empower their incoming members and lead with creativity.

    • Amistad-House of Friendship (Red - Peacock): House members are known for their unconquered spirit. They are very diverse and demonstreate intelligent, creative, friendly and competitive characteristics.

    • Protos-House of Success (Teal - Bear): House members are known for wisdom and knowledge that guides them to success. They show peace and patience while striving for success.

    • Onraka-House of Unity (Orange- Tiger): House members are known for the way they stick together through any and all challenges. They behave like a team-like a family and rise together.

How Will it Work?

Throughout the school year, houses will earn points in many ways:

  • Demonstrating our School Values: Showing respect, responsibility, kindness, and hard work.

  • Academic Achievements: Excelling in the classroom and showing great effort.

  • Positive Choices: Making good decisions in hallways, during lunch, and at recess.

  • School-Wide Challenges: Participating in fun activities and competitions.

Points will be tallied regularly, and we'll track our progress on a school-wide display. The house with the most points at end of the year will earn special recognition and the ultimate bragging rights!

Get Ready to Show Your House Pride!

We can't wait for your child to experience the excitement and camaraderie of their new house! This system will help us build an even stronger, more supportive, and joyful learning environment for everyone. Get ready to cheer for your house and make this an unforgettable school year!
