Happy September, Eagle Families! We are off to a great start, and I so appreciate your support in helping us keep arrival and dismissal running smoothly. A quick reminder that all cars entering our parking lot should turn right into the lot. To help keep everyone safe, our friends at the Bremerton Police Department will be traveling through to monitor traffic flow during the next few weeks. Thank you for showing patience and kindness during these busy times—it makes such a difference!
As we look ahead to the changing seasons, here are a few friendly reminders:
The rainy days are coming—please help your child dress for the weather with a coat, hood, or umbrella.
Label jackets, water bottles, and lunchboxes with your child’s name—our Lost & Found fills up quickly this time of year!
Encourage your child to read a little bit each night at home—those extra minutes really add up.
Don’t forget: consistent attendance is key! Every day matters for learning and building friendships.
Thanks for partnering with us to keep our Eagles safe, prepared, and ready to soar.

Notes from the Nest
It has been a wonderful week of learning at the Lake! I have enjoyed getting to know our new Kinder Eagles and helping them learn and practice our routines. The SEL standards that we will be working on all year are (2) I can regulate my emotions, thoughts and behaviors and (5) I can make safe choices with friends. Our teachers are committed to reinforcing these skills in their Morning Meetings and during classroom instruction and we are happy to see your kids working to keep themselves and each other safe. Have a great weekend!

Counselor Corner
Hello families,
It has been a treat to visit classrooms and introduce myself to the students. As part of my role in the building, I will be working with students through classroom lessons on a variety of topics to include bullying prevention and safety. I will also start our first set of lunch bunch groups looking at emotion regulation. If you would like additional information feel free to contact me.

KLE House System Update
House Sorting Day 🏠✨ What an exciting day at Kitsap Lake! Today was our very first House Sorting for 4th and 5th graders, and the energy in the gym was incredible. Students cheered, clapped, and celebrated as the RCA Houses chose their newest members. It was such a joy to see the excitement on our students’ faces as they officially joined their House family for the first time!
This is just the beginning—next up, we’ll be sorting our 2nd and 3rd graders, learning how to use the House Points App so students can earn points for positive choices, teamwork, and school spirit. Once all of our students have been sorted, we’ll share more details with families about how the point system works and how you’ll be able to celebrate along with us. You can check out the video on our Facebook-sorry about the sound-we are learning how to livestream.
We can’t wait to watch our Eagles soar in their Houses this year! 💚💛💙❤️🖤💜🧡🤍

September
In September the focus is Respect. One way to think about Respect is “seeing value in all people and things & treating them with care.” Many people feel Respected in different ways. We hope this month inspires discussions with your family about what Respect means to you and how you can practice it together!
Conversation Starters:
- Can you share or show what Respect means?
- What is 1 way you have practiced Respect lately?
