As we step into December, our Eagles started the month with some fun House activities—making posters, creating bracelets, playing games, and even helping beautify our campus. Ask your child what they enjoyed most today!
A quick reminder as we move into a busy season: please continue to show patience, safety, and kindness in the parking lot and around campus. A few extra seconds of care make a big difference for our students and families. Thank you for helping keep our community safe and welcoming.
With gratitude, Principal Takata

Notes from the Nest
Dear Families,
I want to share a moment of gratitude and celebration for the wonderful acts of service happening all around our school. Over the past few weeks, our House system has truly brought out the best in our students. Today, Onraka and Isibindi Houses spent time beautifying our campus, taking pride in keeping our shared spaces welcoming and cared for. Nukumori and Sollevare students created inspirational posters that brighten our hallways and lift the spirits of anyone who walks by.
We’re also seeing service in the everyday routines. At lunch, students in every grade are working hard to tidy their tables and floors so the next group has a clean and inviting space. Their teamwork, respect, and pride in caring for their school community are shining through.
Thank you for supporting our Houses and the sense of belonging, responsibility, and kindness they foster. We’re so proud of our students and their growing commitment to service.
Warmly, Maura Crisp SEL Dean of Students & Head of Houses

Counselor Corner
Dear Eagle Families,
Thank you so much for your incredible support of our clothing drive. I truly can’t thank you enough for your generosity and the spirit of giving you continue to show. I’ll be able to share more details next week, including how many pounds our Eagle Family has raised together.
As part of our counselor lessons this month:
Kindergarten is learning about choices we can use to resolve conflicts. Students are practicing talking it out, taking turns, sharing, ignoring it,telling others to stop, apologizing, making a deal and cooling off.
Grades 1–5 are focusing on teamwork and exploring what it means to be a team player.
We’ve discussed the qualities of a strong and successful team: agreeing on a common goal, doing your part, listening to others, encouraging one another, sharing your thoughts, problem-solving together, and being respectful even when you disagree.
Supporting Teamwork at Home
Model teamwork in everyday tasks. Let your child see you collaborating, compromising, and sharing responsibilities at home
Practice listening and turn-taking. Encourage your child to pause, listen fully, and respond respectfully—even when emotions are high.
Normalize disagreements. Remind children that differing opinions are okay—and show them how to disagree respectfully.
Thank you for partnering with us to help our students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Your support makes all the difference!
Warmly, Jenn Uniszkiewicz

December Trait- Empathy
For the month of December, our focus trait is Empathy. We all experience conflict in life. Whether we are frustrated with a friend or in an argument with a family member, we need tools to help us navigate conflict successfully and keep our relationships healthy. This month's focus is on practicing Empathy with our friendships.
