When to Keep Your Child Home From School

Families, we are currently seeing a large influx of illness across our building, and many students are needing to go home with high fevers and other symptoms. To help keep our school community healthy and reduce the spread of illness, we’re asking for your help in closely monitoring your child each morning. We know it can be challenging to keep kids home, but doing so when symptoms first arise is one of the most effective ways to protect classmates, staff, and families. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our community safe and healthy!
Please keep your child home if they are experiencing any of the following:
- A fever of 100.4°F or higher
- Test positive for flu, or COVID-19
- Are feeling sick and unable to participate in normal school activities
- Vomiting within the past 24 hours
- Diarrhea or increased stool frequency
- A rash of unknown origin (they may return once cleared by a healthcare provider)
- An oozing sore or wound that cannot be covered or contained
