We are excited to share that our new KLE Spirit Store is officially live today! 🎉 Families can now purchase KLE spirit gear as well as House gear to show their school pride. The best part is that this online store will be open all year long, so you can order new gear whenever you need it—no more waiting for limited ordering windows.
When placing an order, families will have several convenient pick-up options: • Ship items directly to your home • Pick up your order yourself • Have KLE staff pick up the order and send it home from school with your student
We hope this new option makes it easier than ever to celebrate our KLE community and represent your House and school spirit!
In addition, we are excited to introduce another way to celebrate our community — the KLE House Family Wall. Our House system is all about connection, belonging, and celebrating the amazing community that makes Kitsap Lake so special. To help bring this idea to life, we would love to include photos of our KLE families on a wall here at school.
If you would like to participate, please send a printed photo of your family with your student. These photos will be displayed on our House Family Wall so students can see the many wonderful families that make up our KLE community.
Please make sure your student’s name and teacher are written on the back of the photo so we can return it at the end of the year if needed.
Thank you for helping us create something special that celebrates our KLE family. Thank you for being such an important part of our community.
Warmly, Principal Takata

🥧 A "Pi-ton" of Fun: Pi Day 2026!
Since March 14th falls on a Saturday this year, our Highly Capable (HiCap) students decided to kick off the celebration a little early—and things got a bit messy!
To honor the world’s most famous mathematical constant, our students put their memory skills to the ultimate test in our annual Pi Digit Recitation Contest. The energy was electric as students rattled off decimals with incredible precision.
The Stakes: High Digits, High Whipped Cream
The motivation was at an all-time high this year. The prize? The distinct honor of smashing a pie into their teacher’s face! Our brave faculty members were true sports, standing by as the top counters from each grade level stepped up with their winning pie tins.
🏆 And the Winner Is...
While the competition was fierce across all grade levels, one student reached truly "irrational" heights:
Congratulations to our top winners and all our HiCap participants for showing us that math isn't just about formulas—it's about community, persistence, and the occasional face-full of whipped cream.
