Dear Kitsap Lake Families,
As we move through spring, we often see a shift in student energy and behavior, and this is a helpful time to revisit our shared school expectations with students. We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing with your child the importance of showing respect, making responsible choices, and helping ensure our school remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Recently, we have seen an increase in vandalism in student restrooms, particularly in the upstairs boys’ restroom, including inappropriate language that does not reflect our Kitsap Lake values or our expectation that all students feel welcome and that they belong here. We have addressed this with students at school, as well as with families as appropriate, and are asking families to help reinforce these expectations at home as well.
Please take a moment to talk with your child about using kind and inclusive language, caring for school spaces, and demonstrating respect in all settings—including classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and restrooms. Our goal is for every student to contribute positively to a school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and included.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support in helping us maintain the caring, respectful school culture we value at Kitsap Lake.
Best Regards,
Principal Takata

We were proud to celebrate our amazing military-connected students at our Purple Up Assembly! With the support of our special military guests, we honored the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of our military families. It was a meaningful time to come together, show our appreciation, and recognize the important role these students play in our school community. 💜

Counselor Corner
Dear Families,
As we approach the last couple of months before the end of the school year, we are focusing on the importance of using kind words and thoughtful actions. Encouraging students to treat one another with respect, empathy, and patience helps create a positive environment where everyone can feel safe and supported.
You can help reinforce this at home by modeling kind communication, recognizing and praising your child when they show kindness, and talking together about how their words and actions impact others. Simple conversations—like asking how they helped someone or how someone showed kindness to them—can make a big difference.
Thank you for partnering with us to support a caring and respectful school community as we finish the year strong.
Warmly,
Jenn Uniszkiewicz School Counselor

Open enrollment and choice transfer applications for the upcoming school year will begin processing within the next couple weeks! Once a tentative decision has been made to approve or deny your student’s application, our office will notify you via ParentSquare. Please note that these initial decisions are tentative, as enrollment numbers and class sizes may change throughout the summer and a final decision will be made at the beginning of August. Final decisions are based on a variety of factors, including individual student attendance and disciplinary history.
